Second Wave Forecasted

Forecasted second wave for South Africa

2020 has been extremely hard but Spring brings optimism. Good energies vibrate around Joburg with Summer coming and the COVID peak overcome. The city settles into warm weather, blue skies and restrictions slowly melting away.

But before we get too comfortable, be aware that this week’s forecast predicts rain, cloudy skies, below 15 degree chills and a second wave of COVID-19.

The melancholic, grim forecast of a second wave of the Coronavirus reminds us to stay vigilant.

Statistics show in the past 24 hours, 38 lives were lost to COVID and 1 573 new cases were reported. This brings our total number of infections up to 681,289 people in South Africa.

We must proceed with the same level of vigilance and care.

South African’s warned not to simply relax with the lowering of restrictions otherwise the country would risk being hit by a second wave of the virus that could be more devastating than the first.

Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize

Gloomy days and rainy skies remind us to be thankful for the Summer sun, December vibes, family and friends, grateful for the good times.

The dark clouds and rain will pass and so too this pandemic.
The woolen scarves and COVID masks packed away to make room for flipflops and sunscreen.
Summer will be here soon.

Until then…
Be safe,
Be wise,
Mask up and Sanitize.
