Just in case anyone is unaware, Level 1 Lockdown has finally arrived. After 7 months South Africa, with one of the worlds’ most stringent lockdowns, are finally entering level 1. The world saw Coronavirus strike with swift and unceasing destruction. Schools were closed, malls were abandoned and the only noise or activity on the streets were emergency teams, police forces and military hammers enforcing the residents to remain indoors. A terrifying reality check for humanity.
On Monday, 21 September 2020 we have the reopening of all services.
Great news for the country moving forward as the economic situation has left South Africa suckling at the bosom of the Internal Monetary Fund.
There may be corrupt actions by people of power and there may be inappropriate and wasteful distribution of resources, but I do believe in the People of South Africa.
I believe that we will endure.
We can build this country up again.
Pieces left shattered by hard times we have overcome. But We are skilled enough.
A country left broken after years of distrust. We are tough enough.
The people left empty by leaders who are corrupt. We are strong enough.
Keep fighting through these difficult times. Keep your hearts warm and your spirits hopeful.
Because the People of South Africa are good, kind, and generous. So, let us keep sharing the love.
The only thing we should be breaking down are the barriers between us.
COVID-19 has shown us that we are united in our humanity.
It does not see colour; it does not favour wealth.
Together humanity falls or rises.
Be safe. Be wise. Not just for yourself or your loved ones, do it for all the other South Africans; for those that showed you kindness, support or generosity when you were ever in need.
Hamba kahle.
Totsiens
And Kind regards
